We usually start out with a very basic program and give the horses 60 days to come to a base line. After that, you can choose what specialty products you may want to add and use for specific problems.
For example: there are lots of hoof supplements on the market, but if your horses’ digestion and overall health situation isn’t good,
they will have a very tough time making optimal use of the hoof supplement.
Wild horses do not eat just one plant; they eat dozens of varieties of different plants. They eat what they need to balance their system. Naturally, in captivity, horses have to eat basic hay. However, hay coming from the same field or group of fields will not have

What we have discovered is that each horse chooses a different amount of supplement to eat, and changes supplements based on the hay that comes in. We notice a difference in what they choose nutritionally from first cutting hay to second cutting even if it comes from the same fields.
The mares choose different items than the geldings. Some use more salt than the others do. With each horse needing to do something different based on their own body chemistry, is it any wonder that horses have such a tough time maintaining optimal
health. This really shouldn't come as any surprise, I bet that you do not eat the exact same foods as other members of your family. Sure ,you may eat the same foods when eating dinner at home, but what about when you go out. Does everyone order the same thing and in the same quantity...of course not. You choose your foods based on what you think you need at that moment, or what you crave. Why not let your horses choose their supplements. The amazing thing ... they always choose correctly.
