Release
Every once in a while, you come across a product that just keeps getting better. In this case, it’s a product called Release.
Release is a clear spray with the consistency of water -- and it’s a natural product. It’s made from a variety of Cascade Herbs blended with distilled water.
Release is intended for use on horses and is designed to help a muscle relax and release itself. I have also used it to reduce swelling from bites and minor injuries. We often use it when we are massaging a horse or when we do bodywork or acupressure. It’s fantastic for this purpose. Often times, if the muscle is exceptionally tight, when you spray Release on the area and rub it in, it will foam up similar to when a horse gets wet with sweat. Certainly when this happens you know you are getting a big release from the area.
The really great news about Release is all of the other problems it can solve. I’ve used Release on myself for a variety of things. I have even used it on my three year old daughter.
Besides using on myself for muscular issues such as cramps or tired, sore muscles, I’ve used it to eliminate the itch of mosquito bites. Spray some Release directly on the bite, rub it lightly, and in a few minutes the itch is gone.
I’ve also used it for bee stings. My three year old was stung by a wasp, and I sprayed her right away. The swelling and redness that started (between the time she was stung and I could go get the Release) was quickly minimized, the pain was reduced, and within five minutes my little girl had forgotten about the sting entirely. I was shocked and amazed at how fast it had worked. I ‘ve used it so many times on her for minor cuts bangs and scrapes that she often asks for it when she falls and scrapes a knee.
At a recent Horse Expo, a young woman walked up to me and as she talked I could see that her arms were all red and puffy. When I asked what happened she said she had gotten into Poison Ivy or Poison Oak and that she had been itching for a couple of days. I asked her if she wanted to try some Release on it. At the time I had no idea if it would help but, based on my experiences, I thought it would. I showed her what it was and let her make the decision about being sprayed with it. I gave her arms a light mist and told her to check back with me later and let me know how things were.
About an hour later I saw her walking through the expo and asked if it had helped, she replied it had and that the itching had stopped about fifteen minutes after she had been sprayed. She came by late in the day for more. The next day she told me that she hadn’t itched most of the night and wanted to know if she could buy some of it. Pretty fantastic stuff don’t you think?
Now I can’t recommend that you buy it for everything that ails you, only you can decide if you want to try it. However, I CAN recommend that you buy it for your horse because that’s who it’s made for.
